New Delhi: The AAP’s Rajya Sabha nominees in Delhi Swati Maliwal, Sanjay Singh and N D Gupta are set to be elected unopposed as no candidate from another social gathering has filed nomination, officers stated on Friday.
The six-year time period of AAP MPs Singh, N D Gupta and Sushil Kumar Gupta ends on January 27.
Whereas the AAP has renominated Singh and N D Gupta for a second time period, it nominated Maliwal, former Delhi Fee for Girls chief, to switch Sushil Gupta.
“The three candidates are set to be elected unopposed since no different candidate has filed nomination. The outcomes will likely be introduced formally later within the day,” an official stated.
The final date for submitting nominations was January 9 whereas the scrutiny of nominations befell on January 10. The final date for the withdrawal of candidature is January 12.
