A number of Canadians are vying for Emmy awards tonight, together with actor Martin Brief and producer Susan Coyne.
Hamilton-born Brief is nominated as soon as once more for his main position in Disney Plus/CTV’s murder-mystery comedy “Solely Murders within the Constructing.”
The Emmys veteran — who now has a complete of 15 primetime Emmy nominations and two wins — earned a nod for his flip as disgraced Broadway director-turned podcast host Oliver Putnam.
Brief is competing for the very best lead actor in a comedy sequence award towards Invoice Hader, Jason Segel, Jason Sudeikis, and Jeremy Allen White.
Toronto-based producer Coyne is up for an Emmy in the very best restricted sequence class for her work on Prime Video’s “Daisy Jones & the Six.”
Different nominees in that class embrace Toronto’s Deborah Chow for her work on Disney Plus’s “Obi-Wan Kenobi.”
“I watch the reveals yearly, so I’m actually trying ahead to seeing what it’s like reside,” says Coyne, who might be making her Emmys debut.
