The Division of Fisheries has launched a marketing campaign to eradicate Blackchin tilapia from Thai waterways and fishing spots.
Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives Captain Thamanat Prompow revealed on Friday that rising numbers of Blackchin tilapia are threatening native marine life and fish farms in a number of provinces.
The minister ordered the division to take measures to eliminate them.
