Bright future at Lights Out Gallery in Norway inspiring NSB, community members, and excitement

NORWAY — Almost 120 years after a burgeoning snowshoe manufacturing facility occupied the 15,000 sq. foot constructing situated on 10 Tannery Avenue in Norway, a trio of Maine natives, backed by volunteers and native companies that imagine of their imaginative and prescient, are changing it right into a hub of inventive connection, collaboration, and camaraderie. 

“Norway has all the time been a very attention-grabbing hotbed within the arts,” stated Reed McLean. “There are artists, writers, poets and there’s a huge performing arts scene in Norway. So, I feel it’s a pure place for a challenge like this.”

The challenge is Lights Out Gallery, a non-profit group fashioned to create an arts hub for Western Maine replete with a gallery, a dance studio, artists studios, and extra working and show areas.
