Hyderabad: Former Minister T Harish Rao accused the Congress authorities of withholding Ramzan presents for Muslims this 12 months, a practice upheld by the earlier BRS administration.
Addressing attendees at an Iftar social gathering in Siddipet city on Sunday, Harish highlighted the initiatives undertaken by former Chief Minister Ok Chandrashekar Rao to assist the Muslim neighborhood.
Throughout his tenure, Harish Rao initiated the development of Shadikhanas, burial grounds, and allotted funds for the restoration of mosques and dargahs. Notably, the BRS authorities allotted 3 acres of land for a burial floor in Ensanpally, Siddipet, and supplied a funeral automobile for the Muslim neighborhood’s use.
Harish highlighted his private efforts to assist Muslims, together with the distribution of Ramzan presents to 4,000 needy Muslim households yearly, sponsored by RR Masala firm.
