CHICAGO (WLS) — A member of the Illinois Prisoner Assessment Board is stepping down simply weeks after an 11-year-old boy was allegedly stabbed to demise by a person launched from jail the day earlier than, the governor’s workplace stated in a information launch Monday.
Earlier this month, Jayden Perkins was stabbed to demise in Edgewater, and his mom was severely injured.
The suspect within the case, Crosetti Model, 37, had been launched from jail on parole hours earlier than the assault.
Gov. JB Pritzker launched an announcement Monday, saying he’s “dedicated to making sure extra safeguards and coaching are in place to stop tragedies like this from occurring once more.”

LeAnn Miller, who resigned, was the lead reviewer of the case, the governor’s workplace stated.
