A Bangor man allegedly assaulted a girl after which tried to flee from police whereas in handcuffs.
Richard Lee, 24, was charged with home violence assault and failure to undergo arrest or detention, in line with Sgt. Jason McAmbley, a spokesperson for the Bangor Police Division.
Lee allegedly assaulted the girl on Union Avenue about 2 p.m. Saturday, McAmbley stated Monday afternoon.
When a police officer arrived, Lee allegedly tried to flee, however when a second officer arrived, they managed to position Lee in handcuffs.
