Nearly Rs 2,000 crore hike in space department budget, dip in allocation for atomic energy

Tasked with organising India’s house station, the Division of House has acquired a hike of almost Rs 2,000 crore within the interim Price range 2024-25 as in opposition to 2023-24. The Division of Atomic Power has been allotted Rs 36,159.93 crore within the interim Price range, a slight lower from Rs 36,905.45 crore in 2023-24.

Of the overall allotment of Rs 36,159.93 crore, the Division of Atomic Power has been allotted Rs 15,908.79 crore for capital expenditure which shall be spent on energy tasks, atomic power companies and analysis. A sizeable portion of the allocation for capital expenditure shall be spent on repaying loans for energy tasks. The federal government has authorized constructing 10 indigenously developed nuclear energy vegetation of 700 MW every in fleet mode throughout the nation.
