OPP recover stolen vehicles thanks to truck owner’s Apple AirTag

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) efficiently tracked down and recovered two stolen automobiles because of the presence of an Apple AirTag.

OPP Freeway Security Division shared on X that on Thursday, Whitby OPP officers tracked down a transport truck on Freeway 401 with a container holding stolen automobiles.

An Apple AirTag planted by one of many house owners of a stolen pickup truck was used to hint the exact location of the container on the transport truck.

OPP stated the restoration led officers to a different stolen car from the identical container.

Consequently, a 59-year-old man from Saint Leonard, Que. is dealing with fees. The person was not recognized.
