Anamika Khanna of AK-OK showcased her Spring Summer time ’24 assortment on Friday on the Lakme Trend Week X FDCI 2024 in Mumbai’s Jio World Conference Centre. The designer’s assortment was all about being fearless, daring, unapologetic, elegant and sassy.
The AK-OK assortment is impressed by the adventures of a travelling biker of Orissa`s Bonda Tribe. On being requested why she selected an ethnic group of India because the central theme for the gathering, Khanna says, “Why not? I’m a proud Indian. My nation conjures up me in every thing that I do. The concept for this assortment happened once I met a biker from Orissa who was on a tour. I began researching, went into the depth of the cultural outfits worn by the Bonda tribe and realised how lovely all of it was. That’s once I thought why not converge the tribe’s ethnic outfits with my encounter with the biker.”
Khanna’s AK-OK’s collections are identified to be rooted in India`s vibrant tradition utilizing weaves and motifs that remember nature. The gathering showcased jackets, slouchy pants, drapes, and kaftans. It reimagined staples like a pair of denims, changing a wardrobe important into a press release piece. The gathering is grounded in denim with a palette that features quintessential whites, ivories, and blacks increasing over to a spread of prints and bolder colors like pink and pink. This was properly mirrored when the fashions walked the ramp carrying conventional, ethnic motifs and embroidery in city patterns making the ensembles a splendid sight for the eyes. So as to add extra spice to the already hit present, Shanaya Kapoor, the showstopper, dazzled and slayed the biker look put collectively by the designer.
Shanaya`s outfit featured a white shirt costume with black and yellow studded patterns. The total sleeves and uneven hem elevated the entire look. The outfit was accessorised with layered gold chain necklaces and assertion bracelets. She accomplished the look with black boots embellished with gold blocks.
She opted for a make-up look that made her look much more glamorous. Nude eyeshadow, winged eyeliner, rosy cheeks with luminous highlighter and nude lipstick blended completely together with her total outfit. Her hair was open and styled in tender curls.

On Shanaya being the showstopper, Khanna tells us, “She is particular. Her vitality, spark, and vibrancy, carefree spirit is unmatchable. Her persona and the vibe she exudes go completely properly with the vibe and nature of my assortment.”
Anamika Khanna herself dazzled in a white collared shirt and assertion denim pants. She was seen twinning with Mira Kapoor who graced the present together with her presence to increase love in direction of the designer. Throughout a chat with the press, Mira Kapoor revealed that Khanna had designed her bridal outfit and that she blindly trusts the designer together with her outfits for occasions.
