The Toronto Zoo is the most recent native company to be hit by a cyber assault.
The zoo says the ransomware/cyber incident was first detected on Jan. 5, 2024, and employees took fast steps to find out its extent.
An investigation is underway to find out the influence on visitors’, members’, and donors’ data.
The zoo stated it doesn’t retailer any bank card info, and the well-being and care of animals weren’t affected by the cyber assault.
The zoo is working with town’s chief info safety workplace and third-party cyber safety specialists to resolve the state of affairs and has reported it to Toronto police. Regular operations on the Toronto Zoo will proceed.
