UN says Israel denied 30 percent of aid missions to Northern Gaza in March

Israeli authorities denied 30 p.c of humanitarian support missions to northern Gaza and 10 p.c of missions into southern Gaza in March, the United Nations Workplace for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) mentioned on Friday.

“IDF troopers too usually delay or deny convoys from crossing checkpoints, with rejected requests for protected passage, searches, detentions and typically violence in opposition to support convoys and awaiting crowds,” it added.

The help missions included: meals distributions, gasoline, emergency medical groups motion and supply of provides to hospitals; and help for water, sanitation, and hygiene actions, the UN company mentioned.

Giving a full breakdown, since March 1, 29 out of 60 of support missions to northern Gaza have been facilitated by the Israeli authorities, with 18 have been denied, and 13 postponed or withdrawn, OCHA mentioned.
