FabNewport has opened Rhode Island’s First Tee Youth Studying and STEM Middle at A1 Roofing & Development on West Essential Street in Middletown. The donated facility at A1’s headquarters features a golf studio and two launch screens for apply and simulated play.
FabNewport was awarded the Chapter as a result of imaginative and prescient and dedication of First Tee – Rhode Island’s Director of Programming, Orlando Peace. Peace joined the FabNewport staff in 2021 and launched FabGolf as an extension of FabNewport’s slate of experiential studying choices. Peace developed FabGolf as a method to introduce the sport to dozens of Aquidneck Island youth with a year-round slate of teaching, competitors, and profession exploration; actions that construct character, instill life enhancing values and promote wholesome selections.
